About the author. Amy Strutt lives near Des Moines, Iowa, surrounded by cornfields and wildlife, with her two brave and bold daughters, husband, and rescue dog and cat. She loves cycling, reading, and spending each fall Saturday cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Michigan Wolverines. Driven to work towards a more inclusive and equitable community, Amy serves on her city council and volunteers with her daughters' school and other community organizations.
